Join us for a FREE emergency preparedness training and resource event on Monday, September 23rd (4 to 7 p.m.) for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, their families, and support providers. This event is free, voluntary, and open to the public. The resource fair is 4-6 p.m. and the training is 5-7 p.m.
This event is a collaboration between Community Pathways, Multnomah County I/DD Program, Multnomah County’s Office of Emergency Management, and Oregon’s Office of Developmental Disability Services.
What does this event include?
Resource tables from 4-6pm hosted by local county emergency and disaster management offices and partner organizations, including PGE, NW Natural Gas, Pacific Power, Portland Water Bureau, PDX 9-1-1, 211 Info, PDX 311, AIM 4 Access, OHSU HERO, and more.
Examples of emergency preparedness kits.
A 90-minute training from 5-7pm on how to prepare for different types of emergencies and natural disasters that we can expect to experience in the Portland Metro area, like wildfires and hot weather, ice storms and cold weather, floods, earthquakes, and power outages.

4:00-6:00 p.m.: Resource Fair on the 1st floor. (No registration required.)
5:00-7:00 p.m.: Training on the 2nd floor. (Registration required.)

Cost: Free
Attendees: The resource fair and training are for adults, but people of all ages are welcome to attend. There will not be childcare available, so please plan accordingly.
Accessibility: The building and restrooms are wheel chair accessible. Unfortunately, the training will only be offered in English at this time. A virtual training session being held on October 16th will be recorded with subtitles and translated into multiple languages. The recording and a packet of resources will be made publicly available later this fall. If you have questions or concerns, contact us (see information below).
